What is Involved in Certification?

 

Having your event or activity certified requires commitment and support at every level of its development and implementation.  It will need a thorough review and understanding of the impacts that it could have on the environment and local communities, and the development of systems and procedures to mitigate and manage these in the most responsible manner.

 

By understanding the impacts - and by implementing simple processes, your event could become ‘green’ without much effort.  Obviously, those events that seek ‘Carbon Neutral’ certification would be required to implement further strategies, but within the norms and standards associated with this category worldwide.
