Certification has become a valuable endorsement of the environmental status of events worldwide. Growing international consumer demand for environmentally friendly or carbon-neutral events, conferences and meetings  - and an appreciation for the impacts that these have on the Earth makes this a valuable marketing tool for any conference or event management company.  By applying simple, effective and managed strategies and systems at the very start of the event planning stage, organizers and operators can apply for certification in one of two categories: ‘Green Event’ or ‘Carbon Neutral Event’ to certify that the event complies with internationally recognised standards of environmental responsibility.
