The GreenLine programme provides you with two ways of being recognised as a responsible business according to the level of involvement and commitment you give to the ideals of responsible tourism.

 

Registration offers businesses the ability to measure themselves against our internationally compliant standards using our unique on-line evaluation tool, without the need for additional consulting and certification costs - but with recognition and promotion as a responsible business. 

 

Accreditation offers your business the opportunity to be associated with like-minded businesses, sharing a common commitemnt to more responsible business practice.  It involves an on-line application process, and then a bi-annual on-site assessment to ensure that the minimum stanadrds (see below) are being maintained.

 

Certification offers your business the opportunity to be recognised by an independent body as being compliant with internationally recognised standards of responsible tourism. The GreenLine Programme has two levels of certification to reflect the degree to which your business meets these standards.

​Silver Class members have been certified as having met the South African National Responsible Tourism Standard.  These are a set of minimum standards for recognition at the national level, and they are common to all other accredited certifiers in South africa.  This level gives you a good start on the road to sustainable and continually improving performance.

Gold Class members have gone further than the National standard by implementing the range of additional standards the GreenLine Programme requires.  These additional standards take your business to the next level of responsibility and ensure sustainable and constantly improved performance to an internationally recognised level.
